    Over
    the project

We acquired a 1999 Land Rover Discovery II from the Federal Border Police.

    Why?
Because throwing things away is not a strategy and because sometimes tinkering is more honest than buying new.

    Slanted? Yes.
Shaking between 80 and 90 on the highway? That's true, too.
Gas cap with a team-building component? Sure.
Add to that a DIY-looking roof console, a cheerfully dangling cable, and a surprising number of holes that probably all had their purpose at some point.

Between tape and TÜV, we describe how far you can get with parts that have already been produced and at what point the CO₂ footprint exceeds that of a new car.

If you're looking for an honest assessment, small catastrophes, and a dose of necessary irony, this is the blog for you.
